Dr. Hamid Mousavi
Dr. Mousavi is a graduate of McMaster University and the University of Toronto. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a keen interest in digital dentistry, family care, orthodontics, pediatrics, and cosmetics. Dr. Mousavi grew up in Toronto, and is an avid sportsman, outdoors person, and musician.
He has competed in volleyball, cross-country running, and really enjoys playing the drums. He has had the exciting opportunity to work alongside the medical staff of the Toronto Rock lacrosse team and the Hamilton Tiger Cats. He has volunteered with various local dental outreach programs for youth and individuals with special needs, and has worked with indigenous communities in remote areas of Northern Ontario.
Dr. Mousavi worked in the community of Sundridge for several years before moving to Bracebridge. Dr. Mousavi was drawn to Bracebridge because of the outstanding environment to live in and his passion for outdoor recreation. He now calls Muskoka his home and is looking forward to serving the Bracebridge community.
Dr. Gurjit Singh Gill
Dr. Gill obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with High Distinction. Prior to dental school, he completed his Honours Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at McMaster University.
Dr. Gill enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs. His clinical interests include restorative, cosmetic, implant, endodontic, orthodontic, and family dentistry. During dental school, Dr. Gill received awards recognizing his work in implant dentistry, clinical endodontics, and removable prosthodontics. He is dedicated to creating a welcoming and positive environment where patients feel comfortable, educated, and confident in their care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Gill enjoys fitness, soccer, travelling, exploring nature, and spending time with family and friends. His appreciation for outdoor recreation and community-focused living is what drew him to Muskoka, and he is excited to be part of the Bracebridge community.
Dr. Nimol Toor
Dr. Toor earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Western University. He is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association, and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Toor enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in family dentistry, oral surgery, and digital dentistry.
Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Toor has volunteered with several dental outreach programs, including 1000 Smiles in Jamaica, where he provided care to underserved populations with limited access to oral healthcare. He is passionate about creating a comfortable and positive experience for every patient and takes pride in ensuring that they feel informed, supported, and well cared for.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Toor has been involved in competitive soccer for most of his life and has had the opportunity to travel to countries such as Spain and Italy to compete in internationally recognized youth tournaments. He enjoys hiking, nature walks, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. His appreciation for the outdoors drew him to the Muskoka region, and he is excited to be part of and serve the Bracebridge community.
Dr. Shamitran Prabakaran
Dr. Shamitran Prabakaran earned his dental degree with honours from The University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia. A proud member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular focus on endodontics and cosmetic dentistry.
Committed to lifelong learning and the highest standards of practice, Dr. Prabakaran demonstrated a notable dedication to academic leadership throughout his studies. His involvement included serving as a student representative for both the UQ Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences Teaching and Learning Committee. He represented the university on an international scale through the Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group Interprofessional Education International Student Challenge, where he contributed to vital global research on vaccine distribution and pandemic preparedness.
Beyond the practice, Dr. Prabakaran values spending quality time with his family and friends, travelling, and keeping fit. Drawn to the natural landscapes and vibrant community spirit, he is excited to make Muskoka his home. He looks forward to serving the Bracebridge community, getting to know his patients and their families, and building lasting relationships within the community he now proudly calls home.
